Rich Gardner and Tim Randolph have been awarded an R21 grant from the National Center for Research Resources and the National Institutes of Health. The award will help fund research aimed at using integrated computional and experimental methods to discover substrates for ubiquitin-protein ligases. The award is for $375,000 over a 2 year period.

Rich Gardner has been awarded an ARRA administrative supplement for an R01 grant from the National Institute on Aging and the National Institutes of Health. The award will help fund research aimed at identifying the pathways that allow import of misfolded proteins into the nucleus. The award is for $122,555 over a 2 year period.

Rich Gardner has been awarded a New Scholar Award in Aging from the Ellison Medical Foundation. The award will help fund research aimed at discovering new protein quality control mechanisms in the nucleus that are important for maintaining nuclear protein homeostasis with age. The award is for $400,000 over a 4 year period.

The award will help fund research aimed at identifying and characterizing the protein quality control degradation mechanisms within the nucleus that protect it from the accumulation of abnormal proteins. The award is for $1,025,000 over a 5 year period.

The award will help fund research aimed at understanding how the nucleus protects itself against the accumulation of abnormal proteins that can be detrimental to nuclear functions. Rich Gardner has been awarded a Kimmel Scholar Award from the Sidney Kimmel Foundation for Cancer Research. The award will help fund research aimed at understanding the role of the deubiquitinase Ubp10 in regulating critical nuclear functions that impact tumorigenesis. Rich Gardner has been awarded a Royalty Research Fund grant from the University of Washington. The award will help fund research aimed at understanding how the toxicity of protein aggregation in the nucleus can be prevented. These studies will be important for developing ways in which we can prevent diseases such as Huntington's. The award is for $37,200 over a 1 year period.
